Housing Update
Our planned work in this field was completed in March 2007.
We worked closely with Environmental Health in Gloucester City Council to address some of the local issues regarding the high level of private sector rented housing in the area and the disproportionately high numbers of environmental health complaints.
We devised a project which involved an Environmental Health Officer dedicated to the area working to provide support and advice to tenants and residents on improving their accommodation.
This project was successful in terms of making improved connections with residents and in terms of levels of advice provided. However, Gloucester City Council were not able to find the funding to mainstream the project at the end of March 2007 and therefore the work ceased.
